**Senior/Staff Systems Engineer, Platform Systems** **About Nuro** Nuro is developing Level 4 autonomous driving technology for a universal autonomy platform. Founded in 2016, the company has raised over $2B from investors including Uber, NVIDIA, Google, and Softbank. **About the Work** • Lead system-level requirements, architecture design, integration strategy, and validation for platform areas (autonomy sensors, AV compute, motion control, pose/localization, or end-to-end latency) • Characterize and quantify system performance with data-driven targets and acceptance criteria • Recommend operating constraints for current and future ODDs across vehicle platforms • Define and quantify test coverage across simulation, SIL/HIL, closed course, and on-road testing • Partner with software teams on interfaces, metrics, failure modes, and validation strategies • Collaborate with hardware, EE teams, and vendors on component selection and integration • Support V&V by reviewing tests and implementing test cases in SIL/HIL environments • Analyze test data and perform root cause analysis for cross-functional integration issues **About You** • Deep understanding of robotic systems and verification/validation planning • 3+ years experience in autonomy sensors, AV compute, motion control, pose/localization, or end-to-end latency • Experience with HIL environments or on-road testing • Hands-on systems engineering background • Ability to read C++ and write Python/MATLAB • Strong verbal and written communication skills **Bonus Points** • AV or ADAS background • Familiarity with safety standards (STPA, ISO-21448) **Compensation** Base pay range: $160,360 - $291,150 (based on experience, qualifications, location, and skills).
