Design, develop, and maintain highly scalable, performant, and reliable systems supporting Maven's platform and backend infrastructure. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead design and development of scalable, performant, reliable systems • Propose and implement cloud-based solutions for agility and scalability • Drive technical design discussions and mentor mid-level engineers • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on feature development • Evaluate emerging technologies to improve engineering processes **Qualifications** • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent experience • 8+ years backend development and platform architecture experience • Expertise in distributed systems, microservices, containerization, and orchestration • Strong cloud platform experience (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, etc.) • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes • Proficiency in multiple languages (Java, Python, Go, etc.) • Proven ability to lead technical discussions and mentor engineers • Strong problem-solving and communication skills **Compensation & Work** 💰 $230,000 - $270,000/year + equity and benefits 📍 Hybrid: NYC (3 days/week onsite) or remote from SF, Seattle, Boston, DC, Chicago **Benefits** ✓ Maven for Mavens platform access ✓ 16 weeks 100% paid parental leave ✓ Professional development stipend & career coaching ✓ 401K matching with immediate vesting ✓ Health, dental, vision coverage ✓ Wellness partnerships **Apply:** careers@mavenclinic.com
