**Staff Identity and Access Management Engineer** **Locations:** Reno, NV; San Ramon, CA **About the Role** As a Staff Identity and Access Management Engineer, you will refine the organization's approach to managing user access and permissions. You'll create a comprehensive inventory of accounts and permissions across tools while ensuring identity and access management practices align with security principles. Your work will focus on automating workflows to enhance security and reduce risks associated with over-privileged or duplicate service accounts. **Key Responsibilities** • Implement access control policies and conduct regular audits to maintain oversight of system access permissions • Create and maintain exhaustive inventory of user accounts and permissions; automate provisioning and de-provisioning workflows • Develop security policies focused on identity and access management; conduct training and policy reviews • Conduct regular audits of access logs to identify suspicious activities and generate compliance reports • Lead incident response efforts to address security breaches related to access management • Develop comprehensive technical documentation for identity and access management processes **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field • 5+ years with identity and access management solutions • 3+ years with security policy development • 4+ years with incident response and management • Proficiency in IAM tools (Okta, Active Directory, or similar) • Experience with role-based access control (RBAC) implementation • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, GDPR, ISO 27001) • Skills in workflow automation using Python or PowerShell • Knowledge of user lifecycle management processes • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation • Experience with cross-functional teamwork in security and IT environments **Compensation** Salary Range: $138,000–$173,000 (based on experience and expertise) **Benefits** Unlimited vacation, educational and wellness reimbursements, $0 cost employee insurance plans, company stock plan eligibility, and opportunities for career advancement. **Work Arrangement:** Hybrid
