**Senior Infrastructure Security Engineer** **Location:** San Ramon, CA | Reno, NV **About the Role** Ridgeline is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Security Engineer to secure cloud environments with ownership over security for specific platforms and services. You'll define and implement cloud security best practices, ensure compliance with industry standards, and foster a culture where security is everyone's responsibility. **What You'll Do** • Perform cloud architecture and network security reviews for AWS and third-party services • Develop and maintain scalable security tooling with AI-augmented solutions • Design and implement guardrails and controls (SCPs, IAM boundaries, policy-as-code) • Monitor and enhance workload security with detection and alerting • Build frameworks for secure third-party integrations • Embed security into CI/CD and infrastructure automation • Implement access management, encryption, and runtime protections • Partner with engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design consultation • Collaborate with engineering, product, and compliance teams **Who You Are** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience • 5+ years in cloud security or platform engineering • Advanced proficiency in Python (strongly preferred), Kotlin, or TypeScript • Deep AWS expertise: IAM, Networking, Compute, Data Persistence, Logging & Monitoring • Experience designing access management and policy frameworks • Strong understanding of cloud workload protection and threat detection • Fluency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and CI/CD • Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Nice-to-Haves** • Network security knowledge (firewalls, IDS/IPS, traffic segmentation) • Security tooling, open source, or published research contributions • Experience with AI/LLM tools in development or security **Compensation & Benefits** Salary: $149,000 - $250,000 (based on experience) Stock options, unlimited vacation, educational/wellness reimbursements, $0 cost employee insurance
