**Senior Software Engineer - Cloud Streaming Game Services** *Aliso Viejo, CA* **About the Role** Join Sony Interactive Entertainment's Game Development & Future Technology organization to design and develop server-side applications for PlayStation Cloud Streaming infrastructure. You'll play a key role in powering console-quality gaming on any device through a globally distributed system. **Responsibilities** • Design, develop, and maintain software for PlayStation Cloud Streaming infrastructure • Build Kubernetes controllers, operators, and system services for infrastructure orchestration • Own features from design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support • Develop high-quality, maintainable code with comprehensive testing • Partner with SRE and Platform Engineering teams on reliability and performance • Investigate and resolve production issues • Contribute to architecture discussions and technical standards • Leverage AI-assisted development tools while maintaining engineering quality • Evaluate emerging technologies for improved velocity and efficiency **Requirements** • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience • 7+ years of professional software development experience • Experience designing and operating production software systems • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical problems across software and infrastructure • Passion for building reliable, maintainable, and automated systems **Key Skills** • Strong production experience with Rust • Kubernetes application/controller development • Linux software development • Git and modern development workflows • Docker and Kubernetes container technologies • Debugging distributed applications • Automated testing (unit and integration) • Observability platforms (Prometheus, Grafana, OTel, OpenSearch) • Distributed systems concepts (concurrency, async programming, fault tolerance) **Nice to Have** • Java or C++ experience • Agile development familiarity • Infrastructure automation (Ansible, GitOps) • Open-source contributions **Compensation & Benefits** $177,300 – $265,900 USD Medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, PTO, wellness program, Sony employee discounts, and potential bonus eligibility. *Sony is an Equal Opportunity Employer and Fair Chance employer.*
