**Senior 6-DOF Simulation Engineer** **About the Role** Anduril Industries seeks a Modeling & Simulation engineer to develop, implement, and maintain high-fidelity 6 Degree of Freedom simulation software for the Tactical Reconnaissance and Strike Division (TRS). You'll build physics-based digital representations of flying vehicles to support GNC algorithm development, test, and validation for our autonomous drone fleet. **What You'll Do** • Develop simulation solutions for 6DOF and Guidance, Navigation and Control algorithm development • Develop and maintain Software-In-The-Loop (SITL) and Hardware-In-The-Loop (HITL) tests • Work closely with flight software teams to define requirements and integrate GNC software • Perform characterization work (aero, optics, actuators, IMUs, etc.) for fixed wing and rotorcraft • Review test data from flight control systems and instrumentation to verify vehicle performance and debug issues • Develop models supporting functional evaluation of GNC software **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or related field • 8+ years professional experience in Modeling & Simulation for airborne platforms • Proficiency in C++, Matlab, Simulink, Simulink Embedded Coder, and Python • Extensive experience modeling/simulating linear and nonlinear dynamic systems • Experience with Monte-Carlo simulations and flight test data analysis • Strong background in aerodynamics, rotorcraft dynamics, sensors, and actuators modeling • Ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams on complex system dynamics • U.S. Secret security clearance eligibility **Preferred Qualifications** • Master's Degree or PhD in related field with focus on dynamic systems and control • Flight test data processing and sim correlation experience • Navigation systems integration and debugging for aerial platforms • Guidance algorithm development experience **Compensation & Benefits** Salary Range: $132,000 – $198,000 USD Competitive equity grants and comprehensive benefits package included.
