**Senior Research Engineer** **About Tenable** Tenable is the Exposure Management company. Over 40,000 organizations globally rely on Tenable to understand and reduce cyber risk, including 65% of the Fortune 500 and 50% of the Global 2000. **Your Role** Join a hybrid function bridging Security Response and Decision Science Operations within the Research Special Operations group. You'll split time between: **Security Response** • Monitor threat landscape and coordinate end-to-end security response for major vulnerabilities • Create technical content (blogs, whitepapers, advisories, presentations) • Respond to media inquiries and customer-driven events • Automate discovery and triage of high-profile security events • Synthesize threat intelligence into actionable items **Decision Science Operations** • Partner with Research leadership on data-driven prioritization frameworks • Build operational dashboards and analytical workflows • Provide analytical insights to inform product and business decisions **Requirements** • B.S. or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field (or 5+ years equivalent experience) • 4+ years programming/scripting (Python, SQL, or comparable) • Strong knowledge of security vulnerabilities, CVSS scoring, and exploitation techniques • Experience with data analytics platforms (Tableau) and Python data-science tools • Demonstrated technical writing ability and presentation skills • Strong organizational and cross-functional collaboration skills • Ability to work hybrid at Columbia, MD or Boston, MA headquarters **Ideal Experience** • Security response, incident coordination, or vulnerability disclosure processes • Exposure management or threat intelligence background • Automated data pipelines or intelligence feed integration • Public speaking at security conferences **Compensation & Benefits** US Pay Range: $122,500 – $163,166.67 USD Comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, PTO, and more. **Note:** Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
