**Staff Software Engineer, Ads Measurement & Orchestration** **Position ID:** P-1607 **About the Role:** Databricks is building the data and agent layer for advertising measurement and optimization. We're looking for a Staff Engineer to lead efforts in making campaign performance data accessible, comparable, and actionable across platforms. **Key Responsibilities:** • Lead ingest and normalization of advertising platform data at scale (rate limits, schema drift, backfills, restated numbers) • Design aggregation and identity layers for cross-platform data comparability • Develop agentic workflows to parse, interpret, and act on performance data • Set correctness standards in a domain with noisy, partially observable ground truth • Partner with product, design, and engineering teams on scalable solutions **Required Experience:** • 10+ years of engineering experience, including tech lead roles on complex enterprise projects • Hands-on experience with advertising APIs (Meta, Google, Amazon, TikTok) or equivalent • Working knowledge of ad tech data models (campaign hierarchies, attribution, conversion APIs, deduplication) • Familiarity with measurement approaches (MTA, MMM, incrementality testing, privacy-preserving aggregation) • Production experience shipping LLM-powered systems with evaluation and guardrails • High ownership in 0→1 environments with pragmatic decision-making • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills **Nice to Have:** • Technical and people leadership experience (TLM) • Measurement infrastructure experience at platforms, vendors, or large advertisers • Background in experimentation or causal inference **Compensation:** $190,900 — $253,750 USD (plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits) **About Databricks:** The Data and AI company trusted by 20,000+ organizations including 70% of Fortune 500.
