**Senior Applied Scientist** **About the Role:** The Applied AI team designs and builds algorithmically driven features in the Datadog app, focusing on streaming data analysis such as anomaly detection, error outliers, and faulty deployment analysis. You'll work on building models and algorithms for machine learning-powered features within the Datadog platform, collaborating closely with engineering and product partners. **What You'll Do:** • Design solutions and research/benchmark relevant algorithms for different use cases • Leverage machine learning algorithms and statistical techniques to build scalable product features • Develop, deploy, and monitor new and existing features to production • Participate in journal club by reading and presenting latest academic research papers • Explore, analyze, and tell the story behind high volumes of data flowing through Datadog systems • Maintain and monitor models, services, and infrastructure owned by your team • Participate in on-call rotation **Who You Are:** • BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related field (or equivalent experience) • Experience with high-scale systems and datasets, building models, and writing production data pipelines • Ability to explain complex ideas and algorithms to non-technical audiences • Care about code simplicity and performance • Excited to work on user-facing products **Benefits & Growth:** • Competitive global benefits and equity (RSUs, ESPP) • Collaborate with colleagues across NYC and Paris offices • Conference and meetup attendance opportunities • Mentor and buddy programs • Inclusive company culture and Community Guilds **Compensation:** $220,000 – $275,000 USD (varies by location and experience) **Work Style:** Hybrid
