**Sr. Software Engineer, Frontend — Navan** At Navan, it’s all about the user. Engineers partner closely with product managers, designers, and data scientists to create tools and services that make hotel booking smooth, efficient, and enjoyable. This is a unique role combining the close-knit feel of a startup launching a new product with the scale, opportunity, and impact of an established company. You’ll help shape the roadmap of a nascent product and organization. As a technical leader and contributor on the Edge team, you’ll work closely with other engineers to improve frontend systems and developer experience. Even at this senior level, you’re expected to be hands-on and contribute code. --- **What you’ll do** - Experience with **Java**, **JavaScript**, **TypeScript**, and **Angular** - Collaborate on application design with application development teams - Implement significant portions of the system and help others implement - Understand how technical decisions drive business outcomes; deliver frameworks/platforms that improve delivery with high-quality outcomes - Work in full-stack development as well (backend knowledge is a plus) - Own features end to end—from collaborating with product/design to shipping and monitoring impact - Perform design and code reviews of other engineers at Navan - Establish credibility with smart engineers quickly - Build developer frameworks that improve developer velocity, code quality, and code health - Frontend operational excellence: reliability, performance, instrumentation, and measurability **Additional responsibilities** - Understand technical aspects of frontend systems and identify areas for improvement - Drive changes to the frontend pipeline to improve developer experience and time to ship - Define approaches for application performance monitoring and improvement - Mentor engineers on best practices and patterns --- **What we’re looking for** - **5+ years** of UI development experience - Track record of driving change in engineering organizations - Ability to motivate people, instill accountability, and achieve results - Experience with **Spring Boot** - Experience with **React** - Knowledge of **Jenkins** --- **Pay range** - **$113,400 — $252,000 USD** *The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of compensation for this position and may change based on business need.
