**Engineering Manager, Hardware Platform Security** **About the Role** Lead Anthropic's Platform Security Engineering group within Data Center Security Engineering. As Anthropic expands into owned facilities and partner sites, you'll own the security responsibilities for firmware integrity, boot chain verification, platform trust, and host hardening across training and inference workloads. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead and grow the platform security engineering team: hiring, onboarding, and performance management • Own the platform security roadmap: hardware root of trust, secure/measured boot, attestation, and OS/kernel hardening • Manage firmware supply chain posture: SBOM, reference integrity manifests, and vendor relationships • Drive platform risk assessments for new compute platforms and providers • Partner with infrastructure, fleet, and compute teams to deploy controls without degrading performance • Manage relationships with silicon vendors, OEMs, and compute providers • Run team operations: design reviews, threat models, and incident participation **Minimum Qualifications** • 10+ years in systems security (5+ focused on firmware, hardware, or OS-level security) • 5+ years managing security or systems engineers, including senior/staff-level development • Deep technical knowledge: secure boot, TPM, attestation protocols, UEFI/BMC firmware, Linux kernel hardening • Owned a technical roadmap end-to-end with prioritization across security, performance, and delivery • Direct experience with silicon vendors, OEMs, or cloud providers on security requirements • Strong written communication skills • Comfortable building teams and processes from early stage **Preferred Qualifications** • Experience managing mixed teams of full-time engineers, contractors, and vendors • Hands-on background in OpenBMC, DRTM, or confidential computing (TDX, SEV-SNP, ARM CCA) • Upstream contributions or maintainership in Linux, OpenBMC, or TCG/UEFI/OCP involvement • Experience securing large-scale HPC or AI training infrastructure • Firmware vulnerability research or fuzzing background • Coordinated vulnerability disclosure experience with hardware/firmware vendors **Compensation & Logistics** 💰 $485,000 – $625,000 USD annually 📍 Hybrid (25% office time minimum) 🎓 Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required ✅ Visa sponsorship available *Anthropic encourages applications from all candidates, including those who don't meet every qualification.*
