**Senior Network Software Engineer II - Secret Clearance** **About Rocket Lab** Rocket Lab is the end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems that keep the world connected, protected, and expand humanity's reach to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. **The Role** We're seeking a Senior Network Software Engineer II to join our Space Systems team in Long Beach, CA. You'll manage software development and integration of routers, radios, and laser communication devices on a constellation of spacecraft, working on Space-to-Space Communications, Space-to-Ground Communications, Payload Software, and Data Security initiatives. **What You'll Do** • Manage software development and integration of routers, radios, and laser communication devices • Manage suppliers and subcontractors for system development and testing • Interface with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams on product development plans • Design simulation and test approaches for constellation networking • Define KPIs and set delivery schedules for contractors • Develop staffing plans and coordinate major integration points • Establish software development standards ensuring highest quality deliverables **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar • 8+ years of relevant industry experience • Comprehensive knowledge of network software and software development lifecycle • Experience with Jira and systems engineering methods • **Active Secret security clearance with eligibility for TS/SCI** • U.S. citizenship required **Nice to Have** • Master's degree in aerospace, computer science, or electrical engineering • Active TS/SCI clearance • Experience with SDA NEBULA architectures, cybersecurity controls, or encryption • Team leadership experience with agile methodologies • Project management certifications (PMP, APMP) • Docker, Kubernetes, or DevSecOps experience **Compensation & Benefits** **Base Pay Range (CA): $150,000 – $225,000 USD** Comprehensive benefits include company stock, Employee Stock Purchase Program (15% discount), medical/dental/vision coverage, paid time off, 401(k) match, parental leave, EV charging subsidies, fitness centers, and employee discounts. **Location:** Long Beach, CA | **Reports to:** Head of Flight Software
