**Senior Network Software Engineer I/II - Secret Clearance** **About Rocket Lab** Rocket Lab is the end-to-end space company building rockets, spacecraft, and critical subsystems that keep the world connected, protected, and expand humanity's reach to the Moon, Mars, and beyond. **The Role** We're seeking a Senior Network Software Engineer I/II to join our Space Systems team in Littleton, CO. You'll manage software development and integration of routers, radios, and laser communication devices on a constellation of spacecraft, working directly with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams. **What You'll Do** • Manage software development and integration of routers, radios, and laser communication devices • Manage suppliers and subcontractors for system development and testing • Interface with teams to develop plans, provide updates, and meet milestones • Design simulation and test approaches for constellation networking • Define KPIs for contractors and internal teams • Set battle rhythm for feature drops and major integration points • Develop staffing plans and maintain software development standards **Required Qualifications (Engineer I)** • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar • 5+ years relevant industry experience • Comprehensive knowledge of network software • Knowledge of software development lifecycle • Experience with Jira and systems engineering methods • Active Secret security clearance with TS/SCI eligibility • U.S. citizenship required **Required Qualifications (Engineer II)** • Bachelor's degree in relevant technical field • 8+ years relevant industry experience • Same technical and clearance requirements as Engineer I **Nice to Have** • Master's degree in aerospace, computer science, or electrical engineering • Active TS/SCI clearance • SDA NEBULA architecture experience • Cybersecurity, encryption, or DevSecOps experience • Docker, Kubernetes, or project management certifications (PMP, APMP) • Team leadership experience with agile methodologies **Compensation & Benefits** Base Salary (CO): $120,000 - $165,000 USD Includes stock options, medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid time off, parental leave, and more. **Location:** Littleton, CO | **Reports to:** Head of Flight Software
