**Senior Data Scientist, Ads Integrity** **About Reddit** Reddit is a community of communities with 100,000+ active communities and approximately 130 million daily active unique visitors. This role is completely remote friendly within the United States, with optional office access in San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, and Chicago. **Role Overview** Lead ads fraud detection and scaled enforcement within Reddit's Safety organization. Partner with Ads Product, Engineering, Machine Learning, Operations, Policy, and Legal teams to identify emerging fraud, define measurement standards, and build durable detection systems. **Key Responsibilities** • Lead measurement and detection strategy by defining fraud taxonomies, labels, metrics, and evaluation frameworks • Analyze complex datasets and behavioral networks to uncover fraud patterns and translate findings into detection requirements • Design scalable fraud detection and enforcement pipelines with feature generation, rules, models, and feedback loops • Own full detection lifecycle: backtesting, evaluation, launch validation, monitoring, and incident response • Build statistical, ML, and GenAI-enabled models to improve fraud detection and enforcement quality • Balance fraud loss, platform risk, customer experience, and business goals in enforcement strategies • Shape cross-functional strategy and roadmaps with Ads and Safety teams • Translate complex analyses into clear narratives for technical and non-technical stakeholders **Required Qualifications** • M.S. in Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or related field (4+ years industry experience); or Ph.D. (2+ years industry experience) • Demonstrated experience building production detection and enforcement pipelines • Strong expertise in fraud detection methods, label design, precision/recall tradeoffs, and threshold calibration • Experience partnering with Product and Engineering teams on production systems • Experience applying AI/LLMs to data science workflows • Knowledge of graph analysis, clustering, anomaly detection, or NLP • Fluency in Python/similar languages, SQL, and statistical analysis • Strong technical leadership and cross-functional communication skills **Compensation & Benefits** **Base Salary:** $190,800 – $267,100 USD • Comprehensive healthcare and income replacement programs • 401(k) with employer match • Global benefits (workspace, professional development, caregiving support) • Family planning and gender-affirming care • Mental health and coaching benefits • Flexible vacation and paid volunteer time off • Generous paid parental leave **Equal Opportunity** Reddit is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse workforce and providing reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities.
