**IT Engineer, Internal AI Infrastructure** **About the Role** Figma is seeking an IT Engineer to anchor the Infrastructure & Hosting pillar of our Internal AI team. You'll design and build the production-ready infrastructure that enables every Figmate to build and use AI tools that are governed, reliable, and reusable. **Key Responsibilities** • Design and build the hosting golden path for internal AI applications, bots, and agents • Build the model routing layer directing tasks across models based on cost, capability, and policy • Stand up observability, usage analytics, audit logging, and per-team cost attribution • Integrate identity, access, and security patterns (Okta-connected by default) • Partner with product AI infrastructure teams to share gateways and telemetry • Shape platform strategy, roadmap, and engineering best practices **Required Experience** • 5+ years of software engineering, with significant time in infrastructure, platform, or backend • Track record building internal platforms that teams adopted, with strong cross-functional communication • Strong system design skills and experience architecting resilient, observable production systems • Hands-on LLM operations experience: model gateways, routing, agent runtimes, or cost instrumentation • Enterprise identity and access management experience (Okta, SSO, secure service-to-service auth) **Nice to Have** • Internal AI platforms or developer platforms at comparable scale • MCP, agent orchestration frameworks, or skill/plugin registry patterns • Audit and compliance programs (SOX/ITGC) experience • First infrastructure hire experience on small teams **Location & Compensation** Full-time role from US hubs or remote within the United States Salary Range: $153,000 – $296,000 USD **Benefits** Equity, health/dental/vision, retirement contributions, parental leave, mental health support, PTO, and more. *Figma is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace.*
