**Director, Enterprise Systems & Architecture** **About Backblaze** Backblaze is the object storage leader in the open cloud movement. Today, we generate over $125M in revenue, managing three billion+ gigabytes of data for 500K+ customers across 175+ countries. **Role Overview** Own the technical vision, architecture, and operations of enterprise systems and emerging AI use cases. This senior leadership role spans commercial and financial systems, GTM technology, data architecture, and AI agent governance across the business. You'll serve as the company's architectural authority for Salesforce, NetSuite, Zendesk, Snowflake, and their integration ecosystem. You'll also support the governed infrastructure enabling AI agents, automated workflows, and headless capabilities to operate safely at a public company. **Key Responsibilities** • Define and maintain enterprise systems architecture roadmap across commercial, financial, and GTM technology stack • Own architecture documentation including system topology, data flow diagrams, and architecture decision records • Establish and enforce architectural governance standards and review processes • Lead build vs. buy evaluations for AI tooling, agent orchestration, and LLMOps infrastructure • Serve as lead architect for integrations across enterprise platforms • Own the enterprise architecture review board • Mature infrastructure governing AI agent workflows with identity, API gateway, secrets management, and logging • Ensure compliance with SOX IT General Controls, GDPR/CCPA, and data governance standards • Lead and develop team of Business Systems administrators • Manage vendor and contractor relationships **Required Qualifications** • 10+ years in Enterprise Architecture, Business Systems, or Platform Engineering at public/regulated companies • Proven experience deploying and governing AI agents/LLM workflows in production • Deep Salesforce CRM architecture experience at scale • Strong NetSuite and Snowflake knowledge • Experience building API gateway, secrets management, and identity-based access control infrastructure • SOX IT General Controls understanding with recent public company experience • Track record managing multi-functional business systems teams • Integration architecture design experience (event-driven, API-first, middleware) • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Workflow versioning, GitOps, and CI/CD pipeline experience **Preferred Qualifications** • AI security and governance framework proficiency • iPaaS or middleware platform experience (Fivetran, Polytomic, MuleSoft, Boomi, Celigo) • Master data management and data governance expertise • Analytics and BI platform experience (Tableau) • Salesforce and NetSuite certifications • Public company or large enterprise technology environment experience **What We Offer** Competitive compensation and equity • Full benefits (medical, dental, vision, 401k match) • RSU grants • ESPP • Flexible vacation • Parental leave • MacBook + workstation stipend • Childcare bonus • Fertility support • Learning & development • Commuter benefits • Collaborative, transparent culture **Salary Range (US-based)** $190,000 - $220,000 Backblaze is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
