This hands-on leadership role involves mentoring a growing team while remaining directly involved in technical work. **Fully remote position.** **Key Responsibilities** • Manage and mentor a multi-disciplinary team of data engineers and data scientists • Oversee design, deployment, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and architecture • Partner with Analytics team to design data models and infrastructure in Looker • Consult on upstream data changes with product engineering teams • Define and evolve data warehousing architecture strategy using Snowflake • Lead development of data quality standards, governance, and security/compliance practices • Act as primary liaison between data team and other departments • Develop strategic roadmap aligned with business goals • Identify and evaluate new data sources and data science opportunities • Contribute directly to data engineering and data science codebases **Required Qualifications** • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field • 5+ years in data engineering, data science, or data architecture; 2+ years in leadership/management • Experience with modern data integration tools, ETL/ELT frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS, Snowflake, Matillion, dbt) • 3+ years with BI tools such as Looker • Experience managing Data Science teams with understanding of ML and statistical analysis • Proficiency in SQL and Python • Deep understanding of data pipeline architectures and dimensional data modeling • Experience with data quality management and automated testing frameworks • Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences **Preferred Qualifications** • Healthcare or insurance industry experience • Familiarity with modern AI workflows and coding assistants • Experience with data governance, zero-trust security, and compliance standards (HIPAA/PHI preferred) **Compensation & Benefits** • Salary: $162,000 - $180,000 (based on experience and skills) • 401(k) with match, flexible PTO, paid holidays, paid service days • 4-week paid sabbatical, 12-week paid parental leave • Health benefits starting day one • Fully virtual with periodic in-person retreats **Why Join Us** • Mission-driven company transforming pediatric mental health treatment • Make far-reaching impact helping children and families access evidence-based care • Work with talented, experienced team members • Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging **Note:** Official InStride Health communications come from @instride.health email addresses.
