**Engineering Manager, Core Platform** **Overview** Join Verkada's Core Platform team to lead projects impacting our Command product. You'll architect, design, and develop across a broad range of projects while managing both frontend and backend engineers. **Responsibilities** • Lead projects impacting Command product with mixed frontend/backend teams • Write code and prototype new features alongside your team • Inspire creation of polished, delightful user experiences • Collaborate with Product and Design to ship features • Work with engineering leaders on goals, priorities, and processes • Drive adoption of best practices and coding standards • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends • Foster continuous learning and professional development **Requirements** • 4+ years managing and leading engineering teams (hiring, retention, performance) • 8+ years software engineering experience • Full-stack experience (both backend and frontend) • Agile development environment experience • Eye for design, product details, and polish • Knowledge of server-side frameworks and database systems • CS degree or related Engineering field **Compensation & Benefits** 💰 $200,000 – $285,000 USD annually • Medical, dental & vision insurance • Unlimited PTO + 11 paid holidays • Wellness allowance • Commuter benefits • Daily meals provided • Paid parental leave & fertility benefits *Verkada is an Equal Opportunity Employer*
