**Senior Manager, Learning from Demonstration** **About The Role** Key leader within our humanoid robotics company, bridging cutting-edge AI/ML research and functional robotic applications. Drive research that derisks our product roadmap by solving complex robotics challenges on a 1-2 year horizon. Manage a high-performing team of researchers and engineers, fostering rigorous experimentation, problem-based research, and extreme ownership. **About The Work** • Oversee innovation projects from research through proof-of-concept deployment on humanoid platforms • Own the success of the AI Innovation program with accountability for quality and delivery • Drive research into novel AI solutions for robotics challenges (real-time planning, human-robot interaction, adaptive motor control) • Accelerate data flywheel strategy combining teleoperation, synthetic data, and fleet learning • Partner with Hardware and Robot Software teams on next-generation sensor optimization • Champion team talent and represent their needs to senior leadership • Manage performance cycles, development plans, and hiring to scale the team • Foster a safe, collaborative environment encouraging open dialogue and learning from failures **Required Qualifications** • Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or related field • Minimum 8 years in AI/ML with at least 3 years in management • Demonstrated experience developing and deploying real-time AI solutions for robotics or mission-critical applications • Strong expertise in computer vision, reinforcement learning, and LLMs applied to robotics • Proven track record managing scaling high-performance engineering/research teams • Experience deploying models on resource-constrained edge devices **Work Arrangement** Fully remote with hybrid option if commutable to Salem OR, Pittsburgh PA, or Fremont CA **Compensation & Benefits** Base Salary: $268,000 – $364,000 USD • 401(k) with 6% company match • Equity (stock options) • 100% company-paid medical, dental, vision, short/long-term disability • Flexible unlimited PTO (exempt) + 12 company holidays • EAP, parental leave, professional development, tuition reimbursement • Relocation assistance available • Annual discretionary bonus (eligible roles) *U.S.-based role.
