**Tech Lead Software Engineer, Fleet Connectivity** **About the Role** Define and build the highly resilient foundation for two-way communication between Nuro's autonomous fleets and the cloud. Take ownership of networking infrastructure, telemetry, and routing that manage critical data flow at scale across current and next-generation platforms. Your technical leadership will drive the architecture of fault-tolerant software across cellular and Wi-Fi networks, including evaluating connectivity hardware modules and working with modems and commercial cellular networks. Deliver the robust networking backbone for Vehicle APIs, in-depot connections, continuous telemetry, and low-latency data streaming for remote assistance. **Key Responsibilities** • Establish technical roadmap and architectural vision for fleet connectivity with focus on observability, security, and reliability • Drive system design for highly scalable, fault-tolerant connectivity solutions • Lead high-impact technical initiatives with cross-functional stakeholder teams • Develop advanced analysis tools, dashboards, and automation frameworks to optimize connectivity trends • Provide technical authority, design guidance, code reviews, and mentorship **About You** • Strong proficiency in C, C++, Go, Python, or similar languages • Exceptional ability to translate ambiguous requirements into detailed system designs • Deep expertise in cellular modems, Linux network stacks, and networking protocols • 8+ years of relevant industry experience as a Tech Lead on complex software projects • BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field **Compensation** Base pay range: $193,930 - $291,150 (level-dependent).
