**Software Engineer, Full Stack — Pendo** ## The Team + The Role Pendo helps companies understand how people use their software. This team builds the product for the next surface: **agentic systems**. Customers install Pendo on their own agent environments (including **MCP servers, agent frameworks, and copilots**), and Pendo shows what those agents are actually doing—such as which tools get called, where calls fail, where a contract confuses the model, and what to fix next. As a **Full Stack Software Engineer**, you’ll own features **end to end** across the service, interface, and the seam between them. You’ll work across **Go services**, **Vue interfaces**, **install experiences**, **instrumentation/telemetry**, and **LLM-backed product capabilities**. You’ll start with well-shaped problems and take on progressively more ambiguous work, writing code others can operate and raising issues early when specs don’t match reality. **Location:** Raleigh office ## What this looks like day-to-day - **Full-stack feature delivery:** Ship end-to-end features across **Go services** and **Vue** interfaces. - **Customer install and instrumentation:** Build install + instrumentation experiences that are quick to adopt, hard to get wrong, and production-friendly. - **Agent behavior visibility:** Capture and expose tool calls, failures, latency, and mismatches between models and tool contracts. - **LLM-backed product development:** Work on prompt/context design, tool calling, evaluation, and related failure modes. - **Safe, incremental shipping:** Ship in small increments behind feature flags; test appropriately (including **Jest** and **Cypress**) while accounting for non-deterministic model output. - **Production ownership:** Own what you ship with logging, monitoring, fast resolution, and follow-up to reduce recurrence. - **AI-enabled workflow:** Use AI tools as part of your development workflow while staying accountable for what ships. - **Team collaboration:** Provide strong code reviews, write durable documentation, and communicate clearly about cross-system impact.
