**Senior Software Engineer, Home Experience** **About the Role:** The Home Experience team is responsible for one of the highest traffic pages on Reddit: the Feed pages on the Reddit apps and website. You'll work at massive scale with hundreds of millions of users to help them explore Reddit and provide excellent feed experiences. **What You'll Do:** • Work cross-functionally with product, design, and engineering to build novel products users will love • Collaborate with a team of thoughtful, fast-moving engineers; contribute to standards and mentor teammates • Own the full development cycle for major projects: design, development, testing, experimentation, analysis, and launch • Drive planning, development, and implementation across Reddit's backend service architecture • Enable metrics-led execution with focus on operational excellence and system observability • Partner with leadership to develop roadmaps aligned with product and engineering goals **Who You Might Be:** • 6+ years of experience developing user-facing applications • Fluency with product metrics and experiment design (BigQuery, HEX, Firebase, etc.) • Proficiency in general purpose programming languages (Python, Go, Swift, Kotlin, Rust, C#) • Experience leveraging GenAI tools to increase productivity • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks • BS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience • Deep focus on user experience and social platform intuition • Entrepreneurial spirit with self-direction and bias toward action • Excellent communication skills for remote collaboration **Compensation & Benefits:** 💰 Base Salary: $190,000–$267,000 USD • Comprehensive healthcare, dental, and vision insurance • 401(k) with employer match • Equity (RSUs) and potential commission • Flexible vacation and paid volunteer time off • Generous parental leave • Mental health and coaching benefits • Family planning and gender-affirming care support
