**Avionics System Engineer, HITL (Starfall)** SpaceX is seeking an Avionics System Engineer to develop Hardware in the Loop (HITL) testing systems for cutting-edge space vehicles. You'll work on integrating avionics flight hardware, racks, servers, and custom simulators to validate vehicle design and software. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** • Develop HITL systems for in-house avionics hardware products • Develop software to monitor and validate HITL hardware performance • Create Python automation for software deployment to avionics boxes and PXI chassis • Design HITL harnessing connecting avionics components • Troubleshoot, root cause, and repair electrical hardware issues **BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:** • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics • 1+ years hardware development or electronics test engineering experience • 1+ years Python programming experience **PREFERRED SKILLS:** • Avionics system design experience • Electrical test equipment proficiency (multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies) • Sensor, actuator, and component troubleshooting experience • 3D CAD software experience • Strong Python automation skills • Fast-paced, autonomous work capability • Flight test or high-consequence systems operations experience **COMPENSATION:** Level 1: $105,000 - $140,000 Level 2: $120,000 - $170,000 Comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision, 401(k), stock options, paid time off, and more. **ITAR REQUIREMENT:** U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee status required.
