Innovation and curiosity drive our culture, connecting businesses and individuals through cutting-edge solutions. --- ## The Role You’ll Play As an **Engineering Manager** for the **SmartDesk** product, you’ll lead an engineering team building an **AI-powered front desk assistant** for wellness businesses. You’ll turn emerging AI capabilities into **reliable, impactful products** that solve complex communication and workflow challenges. **You’ll:** - Empower a high-performing engineering team to deliver exceptional technical solutions and drive meaningful business impact - Lead end-to-end team management (recruiting, mentoring, and supporting career growth) - Shape the technical vision and strategy for SmartDesk—balancing rapid innovation with robust engineering principles - Drive product development in close collaboration with product, data, and applied AI teams - Make critical architectural decisions balancing speed, quality, and long-term system flexibility - Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives and help evolve Playlist’s technical capabilities - Establish clear goals, prioritize resources, and guide execution through complex, ambiguous challenges --- ## Experience You Bring - **3+ years** of engineering management experience leading teams of **6+** - Proven track record designing and scaling **AI-powered SaaS products** in **B2B2C** environments - Strong proficiency in **Python**, comfortable across diverse stacks (**React, C#**) - Deep expertise transforming AI capabilities into **production-ready, reliable systems** - Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts to cross-functional stakeholders - Demonstrated success establishing technical vision and driving measurable outcomes - Experience with modern AI development tools and frameworks - Passion for building diverse, high-performing engineering teams --- ## Technologies We Use - LLMs and Generative AI frameworks - **AWS** (ECS, SQS, RDS) - **Python** - **TypeScript / JavaScript / React / Next.js** --- ## Pay Transparency Playlist intends to pay competitive wages and salaries that are motivational, fair, and equitable. Actual compensation depends on factors including skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and work location. - **United States base salary range:** **$151,275 – $201,700** - Total compensation may include performance bonus, benefits, and/or other incentive compensation plans. --- ## Have we piqued your curiosity?
