**Sr. Staff Software Engineer, Big Data Platform** **About the Role:** Lead the next generation of data infrastructure at Pinterest, powering mission-critical big data and AI applications. Work with cutting-edge technologies (Flink, Spark, Kubernetes) at exabyte scale. **What You'll Do:** • Lead strategy and technical direction of Pinterest's data infrastructure • Build and scale frameworks to process petabytes-scale datasets • Work with internal customers on critical big data use cases • Provide thought leadership on reliable, efficient data processing at scale • Contribute to technical vision and long-term roadmap **What We're Looking For:** • 10+ years of industry experience with proven technical excellence • 5+ years building/supporting large-scale Kubernetes or big data platforms • Deep knowledge of big data/ML technologies (Flink, Spark, Presto, Kubernetes, Ray, PyTorch/TensorFlow) • Proficiency in Java, Go, Scala, or Python • Experience with Kubernetes and AWS • Exceptional cross-functional collaboration skills • Bachelor's in Computer Science or equivalent experience **Work Arrangement:** • In-office 1-2 times/quarter for collaboration • Remote-friendly across the country • No relocation assistance **Equal Opportunity Employer:** Pinterest considers all qualified applicants regardless of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, disability, veteran status, or other protected characteristics.
